Please read with caution and/or reservation as this is to be my first ‘article’, hill climb racing hacked version therefore both grammer and spelling may leave a bit to be desired. But rest assured that it is being written by a person and not a machine and its comming from the heart.
OK lets pick a subject and hope that somebody will not only read it but see fit to make constructive comment as well. Although, destructive comment or abuse will be laughed at because I was taught that “sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt you”. Unlike many of today’s generation that have grown up beleiving that a good court battle with lots of monetary compensation will make it better.
Whilst on the subject of looking back to what I was brought up to believe and respect was family and community values. This included the way that I was “taught”. Get it right and you reap the reward, get it wrong and suffer the penalty – however harsh that may be. It seems that todays generation think that they are above it all and need only cry it’s not my fault and all the other escapiest outs.
There seems to be a move by the relevant authorities and ‘experts’ to soften unacceptable behavour by changing the way we speak. i.e. why has stealing become shoplifting or shrinkage. If you don’t ‘steal’ fuel from the petrol station when you ‘drive off’, then what do you do. Why are parents not responsible for their underage childrens click this website behaviour? Is it because our ‘experts’ have removed the ability of parents to teach their children correct behavour?
Lets take a brief look at adult responsability. Why has it become somebody elses fault when we get into trouble or share this site is it just that we have been taught to be lazy. I’m sure that you have all seen the TV news articles of somebody taking legal action (and normally winning) over incidents so stupid that they should have been laughed out of court. Why not? I’m not sure of the real reason but I beleive that if we don’t make a stand and reverse these actions then the generations to come will have a miserable place in which to live.
Its common knowledge that lots of people are in trouble with money. Each year the statistics show higher and higher debt levels. What happened to not spending if you can’t afford it. Are we that silly that we believe that the debt we get into will go away? Why do a young couple need to purchase a house thats too big, has every new appliance and two cars on the driveway? They then make a big noise when the big bad Bank resumes the house for non payment.
It seem to me that the ‘it’s not my fault’ syndrom has reached a high level and that maybe it’s time to take back control and with it responsability for your actions. Start with the one person that you can control (yourself), not blame it on ‘Them’. Then when you have YOU under control start with the next level up. You can say NO, be strong, you don’t need the nwest/latest/most expensive gadget if you can’t afford it.
Perhaps I should stop here before I get boring, but I’m sure that you would have struck an accord with at least one of my theories. If so please email me with comments.
